EXPANSION JOINT SERVICES

Bay to Bay Waterproofing & Restoration are masters at the numerous and expansive services involved with expansions joints. That includes creative install, spec/design install, existing repair, and the waterproofing and restructuring of existing joints. Below are the two primary forms of joint repair services with their descriptions:

EXPANSION JOINT REPAIR & REPLACEMENT:

Expansion joints in concrete structures, like driveways or sidewalks, are designed to accommodate movement caused by temperature changes and prevent cracking.Repairing or replacing them involves removing old material, cleaning the joint, and installing a new flexible sealant or a full replacement, depending on the extent of damage.

Bay to Bay Waterproofing specializes in the application of Pre-compressed, Winged, Closed-Cell and Soft Rod expansion joints. An expansion joint, or movement joint, is an assembly designed to hold parts of structure together while safely absorbing temperature-induced expansion and the contraction or shrinking of building materials, specifically concrete. Specialized Expansion Joints are commonly found between sections of buildings, bridges and parking structures. Expansion Joints are a particular area of interest, especially with remodeled buildings and structures, as technology in prior applications was either untypical as an available material, or commonly not used in joint repair or filling in dated construction.

EPOXY INJECTION SYSTEMS:

An epoxy injection waterproofing system isa method of repairing and sealing cracks in concrete structures by injecting a specialized epoxy resin into the cracks. This process not only repairs the structural integrity of the concrete but also creates a waterproof barrier against water and other contaminants. The epoxy fills the cracks, bonding the concrete together and preventing future water intrusion.

This method is suitable for various structures, including basements, tunnels, tanks, and other concrete elements exposed to moisture or potential water damage.
